CNC Operator/Machinist

Completion of college/vocational or technical training
                    Machinist Trade Certification an asset

Experience: 5 years or more 
Work Setting: Job Shop
Type of Machine Experience: Computer Numerical Control (CNC) 
Machining Tools and Machines: CNC machines, Manual machines, Mechanic skill is good asset. 
Specific Skills: 
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables,
  • Set up and adjust production machinery,
  • Produce quality parts in a timely manner,
  • Ability to program, test run programs on machines, prove out cycle times, 
  • Assist in production planning in order to set and achieve optimal production targets,
  • Meet Quality requirements with all manufactured parts,
    Communicate with Supervisor to quickly and effectively resolve any issues related to machining or quality,
  • Other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: 
Standing for extended period, Frequent/repetitive lifting/moving of materials up to 50 pounds, Specific vision required for equipment inspection, PPE will be used as required
